The girls were very helpful from the first phone and the first visit , this was Banjo first visit to a dog groomer and all the girls made a fuss of him as he was having the full work and he looked really great when I picked him up thank you Tracy see you in Nov 26 thanks again Mike and BanjoPosted on Google

They are very thorough and asked plenty of questions about my dogs personality and health before the groom to alter the service to our needs. Annie12 February 2026I have a small Pomeranian called Tyson he is 3 years old and very spoilt in every way possible and really hates to not have either myself or husband in his eye sight. As you can imagine I expect him to have an anxiety attack which he has had with other groomers. But to much my surprise thanks to the wonderful ladies there he played and actually was very content for us to walk away. On the return he looked so handsome and very well groomed and loved his time there so much so he wasn’t keen to leave the ladies.take so much time both with grooming and mental health. I would like to say that we travel about 25 miles and would travel 100 so we know our very special boy has the very best of carePosted on Google

They were brilliant with our rescue street dog who, despite looking like a wolf, goes to bits at the groomers. Not this time, she was loving it. Thanks so much.Posted on Google

My dog was very nervous but she put us both at ease. The day was followed up by a lovely video compilation of our day, as well as a written reminder of the techniques used. Alicia Worley20 July 2025I was a little anxious that my cat (11yrs old) would not let them groom him (he can be a bit tetchy), but I needn't have. Between them they were manage to complete the lion cut with no issues. They treated my cat with kindness and understood his cues when he'd had enough. I will most definitely use again. Angie Coombes14 June 2025I needed a very urgent groom for one of my cats who had got into a bit of a pickle. Tracy and Sarah were booked up till mid July but went above and beyond to fit us in. Our cat is usually a fidget and not really a people kitty but was very well behaved which speaks volumes, we were surprised to see she was happily accepting treats when we came to pick her up, so must have felt safe with Tracy and Sarah. Lovely women who certainly know their stuff, MooMoo is a happier kitty. Totally recommend.Posted on Google

Fiona Radford7 June 2025We’ve just taken our anxious little rescue dog Benji for his first ever pawdicure and weren’t sure how he’d react but our worries were instantly squashed the instant we walked in. We were greeted with such kindness and instantly were put at ease. Upon returning our dog was so relaxed and had a great bond with the lady, sorry I didn’t take your name and didn’t want to leave! Mike Spragg29 May 2025Took Ezzy here today to get rid of some matting. They loved her and she came back with an underbelly trim (assumed they'd lop the lot off !). Very caring staff/owners and clearly love what they do and care about the customer (and owner!) and she didn't seem troubled at all by the experience. Laura Elmes17 January 2025We had an amazing time on the Learn How to Groom Your Dog course. Sarah and Tracy are lovely and brilliant groomers. We’d never been to Scruffs before but our dog has always been terrified of the groomers. After about 30 minutes here though, she totally chilled out thanks to Sarah and Tracy’s lovely welcome, the treats supplied and the structure of the day, which really helped our dog relax and learn that the groomers isn’t so scary. If we are ever taking her to a groomer in future (which we might not need to after this course, which was great!), we’d definitely bring her here over anywhere else even though it’s far from us. Tracey and Sarah were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of tips and tricks that made a real difference. Whether you're looking to groom your dog yourself or just want to find a skilled grooming team, I can't recommend Scruffs enough. Plus, the café next door is perfect for relaxing or getting some work done while you wait!Load more

Mum took my sprocker Bellatrix to scruffs for her routine groom and she came out beautiful (as always!) wearing a little bow to finish her look off. Mike Dean1 August 2025Took my very lively boxer pup 'Ziggy' along yesterday, and after some thoughtful management, she was calm (ish), and ready for her 'Pawdicure'. The wonderful ladies showed great knowledge, respect and support for what was (an unnecessarily traumatic experience) a first time visit for my Boxer/Octopus/Kangaroo! It was my dog’s first groom and they did everything they could to make sure that he was relaxed and comfortable, both on the day and at the free pre-groom consultation. They couldn’t have done more to reassure me, including keeping me update during the groom, and it was great to feel that he was in safe hands. I felt like this was a place that loves dogs, run by people who love their job. And the end result was superb. Couldn’t be more pleased!Posted on Facebook

Melanie Potton8 March 2023I took my Lowchen for her first Little Lion Dog cut. She really loves it and has run and run and run. The joy of no twigs and brambles getting caught up in her fine coat. We think he had a wonderful time and he looks like a little puppy again with his new hair cut and almost a week on he still smells lovely despite his forest walks. Rachel Wakenshaw16 December 2022Just collected our 1yr Red Lab (Jack) from Scruffs. Jack greeted us with a wagging tail and beautifully groomed coat. The ladies were welcoming and did a excellent job in bathing, brushing, ear cleaning and claw trimming our high energy Jack. He loves his grooming visits and is always looked after. Natasha Jordan1 October 2022Lola came for a groom last week and I was so impressed with the service Sarah and Tracy provided. The atmosphere was calm and reassuring for Lola, the place was so clean, the groom was perfect and I loved the added personal touches like showing as around so I knew Lola was in safe hands and the dogs names on the chalk boards where they hang their leads up. Chris Hamilton5 August 2022Absolutely amazing 5 star service. We had a very anxious Bob the Bulldog, Sarah and Tracy at Scruffs Dog Grooming were so good with him. Took their time to get him settled in and feel relaxed. Gave him a well needed bath and good wash, he wasn't keen but he soon realised he wasn't at the vets lol and he was only there for a nice pamper. He loved the hair dryer. He came out looking fresh and smelt so nice for a change haha. Very professional and friendly service, we definitely wouldn't take him anywhere else! Thankyou both so much. Sarah and Tracy were fantastic and provided a gentle, calm and caring experience for her as part of their Puppy Introduction Package. My puppy loved it and so we will definitely be coming back! The salon is a fantastic new facility and it’s great to have free car parking and a garden centre with a cafe next door to visit while I was waiting.
