Interested in learning how to trim, groom and bath your own dog? Scruffs Dog Grooming is delighted to be offering a fun, informative experience for pet parents to learn how to groom their own dog at home. We will teach you how to groom your own dog in a way that suits your dog’s coat type, temperament, and personality.
If you would like a taster session, then our ‘learn how to groom your own dog’ is the course for you!
What will I learn?
The groom your own dog course will cover a variety of grooming essentials:
- Basic health checks to recognise changes in the body
- How to clip your dog’s nails, clean ears and clip hygiene areas and pads
- Prepping the coat for bathing
- Correct brushing techniques
- Washing and drying
- Basic grooming techniques appropriate to your dog’s coat, e.g. clipping, scissoring, hand stripping or de-shedding

How do I book?

To book the groom your own dog day course you can either; call us on 07474 864 582, or WhatsApp message us.
You can now also can purchase a gift voucher for this course online for a friend, relative or yourself!
- Dogs must be over 12 months old and have been regularly groomed.
- Full payment must be made upon booking.
- If cancelled within 14 days of your course date, a £25 cancellation charge will be made. Cancellation refunds cannot be accepted less than 48 hours before your booked ‘Groom Your Own Dog’ session

Don’t worry, we have taken care of everything you’ll need so that you can concentrate on the grooming:
- All grooming equipment provided
- Only two dogs per class
- Tea, Coffee and Lunch
- Plenty of free parking directly outside the salon
- Not to mention your Doggy Goody Bag worth over £20 – some essentials you’ll need to get you started
