Cat Grooming Only Days

At Scruffs , we know that cats deserve a little pampering too! That’s why we’ve dedicated special grooming days just for our feline friends. Our experienced team provides gentle, stress-free grooming services tailored to meet your cat’s unique needs, ensuring a calm and relaxing experience.

Grooming cats is just as important as dogs.  They can easily become matted if not brushed and combed regularly and their coats get greasy from their saliva by their constant self grooming.

What are the benefits of a regular professional groom?

Regular grooming by a qualified professional will keep your cat’s coat and skin in healthy condition providing the following benefits for your cat:

  • Removes loose hair and reduces shedding which helps to prevent hairballs.
  • Prevents matting which pulls on a cat’s delicate skin. Matting can lead to skin irritation, dandruff, infections, and discomfort for your cat.
  • Removes dirt, debris and dander which results in a beautiful well managed looking coat.
  • Stimulates natural oil production which keeps the skin moisturised, AND improves blood circulation leaving their coat visibly shinier and healthier.
  • A thorough assessment of your cat’s coat, skin and claws can identify potential problems that may otherwise go unnoticed.

… And as a plus for you, less hair on your clothes and furniture!  What’s not to like?!

Cat having been groomed

Express Groom: from £45 - £65

Great for cats who just need a tidy up or maintenance groom. This service includes thorough coat brushing, comb out of any loose knots and tangles, claw clip and eyes and ears cleaned.

This service would be suitable as an introductory groom for kittens or adult cats who are new to grooming. This will allow your cat to get used to the grooming process in a short session.

Sleepy cat

Full Dry Groom: from £55 - £85

This service includes thorough coat brushing, removal of dead hair and undercoat, comb out and spot removal of any knots and tangles, dry bath (no water) with foam ‘shampoo’ and conditioning spray, claw clip and eyes and ears cleaned.

NB: If knots can’t be removed by brushing, it might be necessary to spot remove tighter knots with clippers.

Cat waiting to be groomed

Full Clip (Lion Cut): from £85 - £115

Lion cuts can be essential for cats who have widespread matting or are pelted over multiple areas of their body. A lion cut may also be suitable for cats with dense fur if they are having difficulty maintaining their coats.

Clippers are used to shave the fur close to the skin. This service also includes claw clip and eyes and ears cleaned.

Ginger cat

Comb Cut (Teddy Cut): from £85 - £115

A Teddy Bear Cut is done using a clipper with a comb attachment to make a long-haired cat’s fur shorter, but fur is not taken down to the skin. A Teddy Cut is suitable for long haired cats who find it difficult to groom themselves or for cat owners who prefer the coat to be a more manageable length. This service also includes claw clip and eyes and ears cleaned.

NB: This cut is not suitable for long-haired cats with matted or pelted fur.

Young kitten

Claw Clip: £20

When cat’s claws get too long, they can curve round and pierce the paw pad and even become ingrown. Most outdoor cats will naturally keep their claws well maintained through climbing, scratching and hunting.

Indoor and elderly cats who are less active will need a claw clip to help keep their claws in good condition.

Playful kitten

Sanitary / Hygiene Trim (with trouser trim, if required): from £25 - £45

This involves trimming the fur around the bottom, genitals and tail base. This is ideal for long-haired cats who get poo or litter stuck in their coats and elderly cats / cats with a medical condition that struggle to groom themselves in that area.

Cat being dried after grooming

Tummy Trim: from £45 - £65

The Tummy Trim is a great option for cats that get knots on the tummy, groin and armpits. Clippers are used (either with or without comb attachment) to reduce the length of the fur.  This process will remove knots and prevent others from forming.

Mat / Pelt Removal: from £30 - £65

Using clippers, the fur is shaved down close to the skin around the matted or pelted coat, leaving the remainder of the cat’s fur intact. This is an option if a full Lion Trim is not required  or not in your cat’s best interest.
