Scruffs Dog Grooming is based at the dog friendly Silversprings Garden Centre in Titchfield, Fareham. Customers can enjoy a coffee, cake, breakfast or lunch in the Summerhouse cafe at Silversprings while we are busy grooming.
Whilst your dog is in our care, we will treat them like our own. They will get lots of love and attention while they are with us to make their experience, positive, fun, and stress-free. At Scruffs Dog Grooming, the welfare of your dog is our priority; it is absolutely essential that your dog feels relaxed and safe on their visit.
Prior to booking the first grooming appointment, we will arrange a free 15 minute consultation. This is to enable your dog to familarise themselves with the salon environment and to meet their groomer. During this consultation we will be able to assess the dog’s temperament, discuss any health concerns, and understand what you would like to achieve from the groom. This will be recorded on your dog’s consultation record so we are well prepared when you bring them along for their appointment.
We are fully insured and offer a calm relaxed, cage-free environment for your dog’s grooming experience.

Puppy introduction
Once your pup has had their second set of vaccinations (around 12 weeks old), build their grooming visit confidence slowly by bringing them to structured puppy introduction sessions.
These introduction sessions at Scruffs Dog Grooming help your puppy acclimate to the sights, sounds, and gentle touch associated with grooming them, fostering a positive association & a lifetime of, stress-free grooming.
Dog grooming
Why is it important to groom my dog?
Grooming is vital to prevent your dog’s coat getting matted, as well as removing dead hair, dirt, and dandruff. Brushing stimulates the natural oils in the skin and fur, which helps make for a glossy, healthy coat.
Scruffs Dog Grooming services include: full groom, spa treatments, de-shedding, hand stripping, bath & towel dry, and bath & tidy.
Nail trim
Why is it important to trim dog’s nails?
Nails that are too long are at risk of being torn off, such as if your dog’s nail gets caught on a piece of carpeting or furniture.
This can result in an injury that might require veterinary care if it’s serious enough. Longer dog nails also make it harder for dogs to walk around comfortably.
Teeth cleaning
Keeping your dog’s teeth clean is important.
Just like us, ignoring cleaning can lead to plaque build-up and dental problems. Dental disease is very common in dogs, second only to ear infections, and can be extremely uncomfortable
Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a no noise solution to keep some of the common dental issues that may affect your dog at bay.
